Mainly I’ve been in Minnesota, weeping about winter, and the snow and ice burying my mountain bike riding fun. I haven’t tried a built-for-snow fat bike, yet. Someday, maybe, with the right clothing, I will.

I made a quick trip to Los Angeles, California, and, no, unfortunately, it wasn’t to secure a movie deal. Just personal business. 

It’s been quiet in the Beyond Misery Bay world. The book has sold some, and I’m getting ready to branch out with a couple more publishing services. A few local libraries have accepted it, which means a lot to me, because I love libraries. To write among all those books is one of the coolest experiences for me. 

I’m not working on my next project yet. But there’s a story banging at the cage walls just waiting to get out!

And as with the ebook, there are a few imperfections here and there . . . beginner’s, ah, luck. 😉

After reaching the self-publishing summit, out of breath and cross-eyed, I was able to get the ebook published on Amazon. For now, the ebook will only be available on Amazon. You don’t need a Kindle reader to read it, but you do at least need the Kindle app. That’s how I read Kindle books on my iPad.

The paperback is in review at Amazon and should be available for purchase very soon––we’re talking a couple of days. Eventually, the paperback will be available through other retailers, but that’s another learning curve . . .

(Self-Publishing is challenging!)

I really thought 9-1-1-9 (September 1, 2019) was a cool looking and sounding date to publish Beyond Misery Bay. But there’s a bit of a learning curve for getting the manuscript and book cover to Kindle/Amazon and other places. Actually, at this point, the curve seems more like a vertical line than a rolling hump. Even learning the backside operation of this website has been tricky.

So, although Beyond Misery Bay might not hit the streets by 9-1-1-9, she’s almost there.

Land ho!

To hold my book in my hands was my initial goal six years ago, and in less than twenty-four hours it’s gonna happen!

On Tuesday, 9-3-1-9, proof copies of Beyond Misery Bay will arrive at my house. We’ll give the proof copy a final proof read and check the formatting. When all that’s done, the book is DONE! DONE! DONE!

Then all I have to do is hit the Amazon/Kindle “publish” button and POOF, both the paperback and ebook will be available on Amazon.

Just like that . . .
